Yoto is the Official Audio Partner of World Book Day® 2023
We are proud to announce that Yoto is the Official Audio Partner of World Book Day® 2023!
The official ‘Audio Partner’ title is the first of its kind for the charity World Book Day and it acknowledges the part aural storytelling and audiobooks specifically have to play in improving reading skills and building a love of reading in children.
Audiobooks are proven to support children’s emotional intelligence and mental wellbeing, improve comprehension and widen children’s access to books*.
To celebrate the partnership, we will be making a selection of opening chapters of popular audiobooks available for free via the Yoto App. Carefully selected by us and the World Book Day team, there are free chapters as well as full free stories available.
We will be donating £1 from the sale of a selection of 35 Yoto Cards sold during the World Book Day period (Feb 16th-March 23rd 2023) which goes directly to further World Book Day’s charitable mission to promote reading for pleasure and give every child and young person a book of their own.
This year, World Book Day® falls on Thursday 2nd March 2023. Since it was first celebrated in the UK and Ireland over 25 years ago, World Book Day® has grown to become an essential fixture of the year for schools, settings, and communities.
The charity creates a fantastic opportunity to focus on reading for pleasure, supporting children's autonomy in book choice, and embedding a habit of reading that brings a wide range of benefits.
