Yoto Mini Battery Replacement Kit

If you are an owner of a Yoto Mini sold between 2021 and 2023, we need you to take some further action so you can continue to enjoy your device.

Please click here to read a letter from our founders for more information.

If you own one of these Yoto Minis, you may recall that we contacted you in April 2024. At the time, we informed you of a safety issue with the lithium pouch battery. The issue meant that the battery may overheat when the device is being charged. We offered all owners a free Yoto Mini Smart Cable and implemented an automatic software update.

We will shortly be undertaking further voluntary action which your local regulator is aware of, offering a free Battery Replacement Kit to all customers who have a Yoto Mini manufactured between 2021 and 2023.

The Battery Replacement Kit has been successfully rolled out in Australia, alongside the Smart Cable. Together, they provide a longer battery life equivalent to that found in the 2024 Yoto Mini edition, while protecting against component failure and power surges. Completing the battery replacement process will remove the risk of overheating associated with the old batteries.

While you can order your Battery Replacement Kit now by clicking here, please be aware that it will not be shipped until stock becomes available in 2025. When your Battery Replacement Kit is ready to ship, you will receive an email with an estimated delivery date.

Customer safety is our number one priority and it is incredibly important to us that our products meet our high standards. Thank you for your ongoing support.

Yoto Player 2nd Generation - UK plug adaptor replacement (UK & Ireland Only)

We have identified an issue with the UK plug adaptor for a limited number of Yoto Player 2nd Generation products which, in very rare cases, may cause the UK plug adaptor to break.

In three reported incidents, the UK plug adaptor has broken when the user has tried to pull it out of the plug socket. This has resulted in live pins being left exposed.

This issue does not relate to all Yoto Player 2nd Generation products. Only a certain subset of Yoto Player 2nd Generation products supplied with a separate charger, with two optional interchangeable adapter pins for the UK and EU supplied by a specific manufacturer between September 2021 and May 2023.

We have identified the impacted Yoto Players, and communications have now gone out to all affected UK and Ireland customers via email and the Yoto App.

If you are unsure if your UK plug adaptor is affected, you can compare your product to the images here.
