Disasters Emergency Committee
In October 2022, Yoto released a digital card called ‘Songs From Ukraine’, a specially curated collection of five traditional Ukrainian children’s songs, sung from Kyiv by vocalist Iryna Kulshenka in collaboration with a host of UK-based musicians and producers. The songs are a combination of local folks songs, sing-along children’s tunes and the Ukrainian version of a universally loved lullaby. 100% of sales will be donated to the DEC to support their work with families affected by the Ukrainian war.
The DEC brings together 15 leading UK aid charities at times of crisis overseas to raise funds quickly and efficiently. In these times of crisis, people in life-and-death situations need our help and our mission is to save, protect and rebuild lives through effective humanitarian response.
The DEC’s 15 member charities are: Action Against Hunger, ActionAid UK, Age International, British Red Cross, CAFOD, CARE International UK, Christian Aid, Concern Worldwide UK, International Rescue Committee UK, Islamic Relief Worldwide, Oxfam GB, Plan International UK, Save the Children UK, Tearfund and World Vision UK.

Yoto & the SEA LIFE TRUST
Yoto have partnered with the SEA LIFE TRUST as we believe in the huge power that little adventurers have to help chart a positive course for the future of our planet – a vision that we share with our good friends at SEA LIFE aquariums. The teams at SEA LIFE and SEA LIFE TRUST make an enormous impact on our oceans and the marine life that call them home, championing the need for plastic-free oceans and an end to over-exploitation of marine life. In fact, that’s exactly why we teamed up with them to bring you the latest BrainBots title, Sea Defenders. But it’s not just about pointing kids in the right direction when it comes to taking care of the world around us though. We’re donating 20% of each purchase directly to the SEA LIFE TRUST to fund their crucial mission too.

Official Audio Partner of The World Book Day® Charity
World Book Day® is a charity that promotes reading for pleasure. It offers every child and young person, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, the opportunity to have a book of their own. Reading for pleasure is the single biggest indicator of a child’s future success; more than their family circumstances, their parents’ educational background or their income.
We believe that aural storytelling and audiobooks play a significant role in improving reading skills and cultivating a love of literature in children. Audiobooks are proven to support children’s emotional intelligence and mental well-being, improve comprehension and widen children’s access to books.
To celebrate the partnership in 2023, Yoto made selection of audiobooks available for free via the Yoto App and donated £1 from the sale of selected Yoto Cards*, carefully chosen by both the Yoto and World Book Day team, during the World Book Day period (February 16th-March 23rd 2023). These donations contribute directly to further World Book Day’s charitable mission.
This year, World Book Day® falls on Thursday, the 2nd of March 2023. *Selection of 35 Yoto Cards.
