  • Volume Limiter: When using the wired headphones, use the Yoto App’s built-in volume limiter settings to restrict maximum volume.
  • To set volume levels safely, speak at a normal volume while using the headphones, then lower the volume until you can comfortably hear your own voice. Your ears will attune to a slightly lower volume over time, and what seems quiet at first can be perfect for longer listening periods.
  • Caregiver Supervision: Monitor your child to ensure suitable volume levels for the environment. Remind your child to pay special attention to traffic around them when using the headphones outside. Failure to do so could result in an accident.
  • High-Volume Exposure: In noisy environments, limit exposure to high volumes to brief periods and return to lower levels quickly. If your child experiences discomfort or pain, try lowering the volume or discontinuing use temporarily. If your child experiences regular discomfort while using this product, discontinue use and consult your physician.
  • WHO Recommendation: The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that 85 dB is the maximum safe volume level for long term listening to prevent hearing damage.
